Dr. Cella is thrilled to welcome you to Cella Foot and Ankle Specialty. She is an accomplished surgeon with over 20 years of experience who is committed to treating podiatric medical conditions of the Foot and Ankle in both adults and pediatric patients. Dr. Cella treats a wide variety of conditions including: sports related injuries of the foot and ankle, diabetic foot reconstructions, trauma and fractures of the foot, bunion and hammertoe surgery, revision surgery, neuromas, and heel pain. She performs open surgery as well as arthroscopy and laser. Dedicated to learning the latest advances in medicine, integrating quality of care with communication and compassion, she is uniquely qualified to treat acquired, congenital, traumatic, neoplastic, and infectious abnormalities of the Foot and Ankle. Dr. Cella emphasizes patient education in medical conditions and proper footwear, and provides the highest quality of Foot and Ankle care.

Dr. Antonella Cella began her education at McGill University in Montreal where she received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. She continued to the Université de Moncton in New Brunswick where she received her Master of Science in Biology/Biochemistry before completing her studies with her medical degree from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine.

She completed her surgical residency at Virtua West Jersey Hospital as well as a Fellowship in Foot and Ankle Orthopedics. During her residency, Dr. Cella was given the opportunity of a lifetime to partner with Healing the Children and travel to Venezuela, Nicaragua and Ecuador to provide pro-bono diagnostic and surgical orthopaedic services to pediatric patients in need.

Dr. Cella has completed an additional advanced training course in Ankle Arthroscopy sponsored by ACFAS. She is Double Board-Certified and a Fellow of both the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and the American Board of Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery. She has hospital affiliations with Hackensack University Medical Center and Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, NJ.

When out of the office, Dr. Cella enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two children and the master of the house, their dog Bauer. She spends her free time oil painting, traveling, working out, and attending her children’s various sporting events.

Dr. Cella is fluent in English, French, Italian and Spanish.
